Accessing full path of object mentioned in Chrome console

I am using Chrome’s DevTools JS console to debug a custom function that executes when a button is clicked. When I click on the button, I get the following message in my console:

[Violation] 'click' handler took XXXms

Is there a way I can access the full path of this (button) object that I am clicking through the console message I am getting? I assume it will be something along the lines of App.controller.XXX.

How would I click an ARIA WAI button using JS?

I’m making an extension in chrome and I’m trying to programmatically click the following element.

Is it possible?

Chrome extension messaging between popup.html and content.js

So I have this script that runs on a website and gathers some data based on certain parameters, which works perfectly fine by itself, but I want to be able to have a browserAction popup with a single button in it, which on click will trigger the aforementioned script.

I believe my problem is that I can’t get the message to be sent via a press of the button, I don’t know how to implement this, and no browserAction tutorial I’ve read tried to, either.

Here’s my code:
popup.html

background.js

function click() {
    chrome.tabs.query({active: true, currentWindow: true}, function(tabs){
        var activeTab = tabs[0];
        chrome.tabs.sendMessage(activeTab.id, {"message": "clicked_browser_action"});
    });
}

content.js

$(document).ready(function(){
    init();
    chrome.runtime.onMessage.addListener(function(request, sender, sendResponse){
        if(request.message === "clicked_browser_action"){
            popup();
        }
    })
});

I know the rest of my code works, because I’ve tested it by adding

browserAction.onClick.addListener(function(tab){ ... });

in the place of

function click() { ... }

and everything worked exactly as I wanted it to.

How would I go about implementing the button correctly?

Use Google Chrome Inspect to modify a BUTTON, how to run the modified code

I use Google Chrome Inspect to modify the code for a Button (on a webpage).

And I don’t know how to run the modified Button for only one time.

Is it just simple that I click on the Button after modifying the code?

The original code:

And I modify only the field data-instructor= from null to 5151.

And i want to send a request (through a button) to the server with the modified code. Please let me know if i can do this.

Thank you.

How can I display buttons over a web? (chrome extension)

I’m trying to make a chrome extension that works over youtube.
Since I’m a JavaScript begginer i really don’t know if this is something that can be done.
The general idea is to display a couple buttons over the page layout, i want em to be on the bottom of the chrome explorer.

How can I make a Chrome Extenstion that runs when a specific button @ a specific URL is clicked?

I am trying to make a chrome extension that scrapes the names of instructors on a school sponsered website used to pick classes. I would use content scripts that run on a specifically matched URL, but the info that I need to extract may or may not be on the page at one specific time due to one being able to change the view of the window without changing the URL. I need to extract this info and show it in the popup of the extenstion. So my questions are:

1) How can I added a listener that runs the script ONLY when the user searches for the info I am looking for

2) How should I structure my files/what Chrome Extenstion API structures should I use to not only scrape this info, but then also display it in a popup

One could be in the Class Schedule, Search, Add, ect tab without changing the URL
Here is what the page looks like to better show the issue

I would need to be ablt to extract the info AFTER the green search button is pressed by a user
Here is another view, the window where one would search

URL in question: https://www.spire.umass.edu/psp/heproda/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/c/SA_LEARNER_SERVICES.SSS_STUDENT_CENTER.GBL?FolderPath=PORTAL_ROOT_OBJECT.HCCC_ACADEMIC_RECORDS.HC_SSS_STUDENT_CENTER&IsFolder=false&IgnoreParamTempl=FolderPath%2cIsFolder

Google Chrome images missing?

Not sure what happened, but for some reason in my dev tools (and in Google Keep, and maybe a few other places but I can’t remember right now), button images won’t always load for me. This is what I mean:

https://www.screencast.com/t/6Zt9fnW4T

The images either don’t show up or show up as gray boxes, and when I hover over the images they (sometimes) appear.

Has anyone seen this before?
(Also in my settings, I have images set to “Show All.”)
