How to figure out how is a request being initiated in a website?

So I have this site built on Magento and on the requests section, the homepage URL is being requested twice and I want to find out what is initiating the second request which seems very unnecessary and increasing the site’s load speed.

network tab on chrome

If I click on other, it shows this line is initiating this request
enter image description here

Under this line, I see some javascript being loaded from here, so I thought the initiator is one of the javascript files. But I disabled javascript on chrome debugging options and I still got the request.
enter image description here

And it says that the initiator was https://www.yogastudio.co.uk/media/amoptimization/skin/frontend/base/default/js/amasty/amconf/configurableList.js but I don’t know much javascript and I don’t see anything on that js that can initiate this request.

Can you help me find the initiating code that is making this request?
Thanks.

Find source of ajax call to example.com/undefined

My WordPress installation has mysteriously begun to stop applying some layout fixes and I suspect that it has something to do with a mysterious GET request that I’m trying to hunt down:

enter image description here

I’m guessing that I’m assembling the url, mydomain.com/undefined with a variable that I fail to assign a value and is thus evaluated as “undefined”. My question is, where is this happening.

When I click the link to “undefined:1” on the right, it takes me to a list of images and displays the markup for my site’s 404 page:

How can I isolate the place on my site where the GET request is being made?

Chrome developer tools source folders and filenames are obfuscated

I am needing to check tags that are on a specific website. When I look for the files under sources/networktab all files and folders have obfuscated names, so it’s impossible to find the files I am looking for.

Screen shot of dev tools

1) They aren’t obfuscated on other developers machines, so it’s a setting in my dev tools causing this, not the website.

2) It only happens on this website, no problem anywhere else.

How to pause on network errors in chrome

I have enabled Pause on caught/uncaught exceptions in chrome however when we get a 404() error the debugger doesn’t pause.

For e.g. click ‘Throw 404’ button in below url and see that debugger doesn’t pause.

https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/console/get-started#browser

Further it also doesn’t pause on a syntax error.

How can I cause debugger to pause on any error what so ever

Developer Tools – Find Object (runtime)

I’m not sure if I’ll be using the correct terminology here, but let me try it as clean as possible..

I would like to use chrome developer tools in it’s full potential. Sometimes I see nice things on a website and I like to see the inner workings of that, so, I open chrome developer tools and inspect website elements to understand “how stuff works”

Sometimes I just want to understand what’s going on at run time..

For instance, I would like to see all defined objects or variables in a website during runtime, would it be possible to inspect everything that’s already defined, interactively? I know about the sources tab, but that just gives a brief idea off what’s going to happen, instead, I would like to know “what is going on right now”.

Would it be possible?

make electron Developer Tools window to always open at screen position I specify

I’m learning to do develop with electron in WebStorm. When I show the electron Developer Tools (undocked or detached), either by the menu (View..Toggle Developer Tools) or programmatically, the window always comes up in the same spot on my laptop monitor. I would like it to work like nw.js development, which remembered where I drag the Developer Tools window to and always comes up at that spot (on a second monitor) in subsequent runs.

I thought a programmatic solution sounded possible from the electron documentation, using code like below to get a handle on the window and then I could move the window programmatically:

const {app, BrowserWindow} = require('electron')

let win = null
let devtools = null

app.once('ready', () => {
  win = new BrowserWindow()
  devtools = new BrowserWindow()
  win.loadURL('https://github.com')
  win.webContents.setDevToolsWebContents(devtools.webContents)
  win.webContents.openDevTools({mode: 'detach'})
})

However, when I try the above code, I get this error:
TypeError: appWindow.webContents.setDevToolsWebContents is not a function

I’m running Sierra on a MacBook Pro, in case that matters.

I hate having to manually switch spaces on my second monitor, then drag the Developer Tools window where I want it, every time I run my app during development. I just want the Developer Tools window to show up where I tell it to. Any ideas?

How do I delete the site specific form information on Google chrome?

What I have tried:

  1. Explored the Chrome settings but all I see is Forms auto-fill that mostly gave addresses et al information.
  2. I deleted the cookies for the site too. But does not seem to be working.

Github Form Autofill Dropdown Chrome

But I am not able to remove the dropdown autofills on the website as seen in above image.
